As a UX/UI designer in the project I was asked to create an application for tourists at the Berlin Food Festival.
I have to start with a deep understanding of the tourists' needs, develop a user-friendly navigation interface and maintain
design and navigation consistency. Continuous support and improvements based on user feedback are also required."
This study explores tourist preferences at a Berlin food festival to enhance their experience.Surveys collect data on demographics, interests, and pain points.Expected findings identify two main tourist groups: young Europeans seeking culinary innovation and middle-aged North American and Asian tourists interested in local flavors and culture.Common pain points include food diversity, language barriers, and dietary choices. The study aims to provide insights to customize the festival for these audiences, improving attendee engagement and appeal.
This survey provides valuable insights into the dietary habits and choices of frequent travelers, especially those aged between 20 and 40 who travel once a year with their families. There was a significant emphasis on opinions and restaurant reviews (45%), food diversity and local cuisine (40%), proximity to accommodation (10%), and price (5%) when selecting restaurants. Additionally, 80% of respondents considered suitable weather conditions when choosing where to eat, and in most cases (60%), they relied heavily on the preferences of local residents when searching for restaurants abroad. These details reflect a strong consideration of factors such as food and local attractions when traveling and offer suggestions to meet their unique needs.
